Q. Is the event open to the public?

A. Due to a limited number of school supplies, only PRE-REGISTERED students (K-6) who reside in the New Orleans area are eligible to participate.

Q. Is there a cost to attend?

A. Although the Fest is FREE, only families who pre-register will have access to the fair due to limited space and supplies.

Q. When is the actual event?

A. The NOLA Back 2 School Fest will take place the morning of Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Xavier University of Louisiana. To obtain parking information and be allowed into the event, you must register!

Q. Do the children need to be present?

A. They do not. We encourage families to bring the students they registered, however, so they can take advantage of free haircuts, health screenings, and other event offerings.

Q. Can I bring other children that need school supplies to the event?

A. You can; however, only those children who were pre-registered will receive school supplies.

Q. What do I need to bring to the event?

A. At the Fest, you must present:

  • Your event confirmation (a printed copy or electronic version on your mobile device).
  • A form of identification for the adult accompanying the child/children at time of check-in.

Q. Can event volunteers receive school supplies for their children?

A. Event offerings are available only for registered students and their families attending the NOLA Back 2 School Fest as participants.

Q. What if it rains?

A. The fest will continue as scheduled in the event of rain.

Q. What happens if you run out of school supplies?

A. Because we are pre-registering students, our event guarantees a backpack filled with school supplies to every pre-registered child. We want to thank our presenting sponsor Shell and all of the sponsors who generously supported the NOLA Back 2 School Fest!
